Text description provided by the architects. In this project, a forest delimits a vast area in the centre of a major heritage site in the City of Pau. The forest is crossed by a network of paths and clearings.
A series of shelters and a sanitary facility define a large courtyard. The ground is deformed arbitrarily by folding and unfoldings that create volumes where the ground, walls and roofs become a single entity.
The masonry spreads over the ground along both sides of the structure plotting a masonry line across the playground.
Dense and common planting: ash, elms, beeches... creates on one hand the empty central space of the stadium but also participates to provide a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere for pupils.
